This uncompromisingly modern, eye catching new home was built on the edge of historic Bury St Edmunds overlooking the meadows beside the River Linnet and includes a wide range of IDSystems products, from the large theEDGE sliding door systems on each wing of the building that face the water to three SF55 bifold door systems at the rear of the property.

Connecting the two elements of the structure is a central link, glazed in full height fixed frame windows, whilst the remaining rooms include top hung windows, single doors and balustrades.

Speaking of IDSystems involvement and the award win, Senior Project Advisor Simon Ball was delighted, saying “We worked closely with Mr & Mrs Hunter and Modece Architects to help turn the vision into a reality. The inclusion of theEDGE sliding doors not only maximises the amount of light that the rooms get, but also make the most of the views out over the natural swimming pool and down over the meadows beyond.”

“We are thrilled for the clients, and particularly for Modece Architects who were faced with a very challenging site and set of design restrictions, for winning the RIBA Suffolk Design Award 2017. It is prestigious recognition for a thoroughly deserving project”.
