Seasonal changes to your doors & windows

During hot summer days you may experience that your products become more difficult to open or close, especially systems with large panes of glass and/or dark coloured frames. This will occur due to the natural thermal expansion of the materials and is the same across aluminium door or window systems. This expansion does not constitute a fault which requires service work.

When the products cool down they will return to their normal operation. During hot summer days this may not happen with temperatures remaining high through the night, if you are unable to close a door system you can opt to use a hosepipe on the profiles and glass which should make it easier to open or close the products.

Should any issues continue to occur as the weather cools down please do not hesitate to contact us to arrange a service call.
