IDSystems has seen a significant increase in the number of self-build projects it has worked on over the last two years, following the establishment of a dedicated self-build projects team. From rooflights and balustrades, to award-winning bifold doors, sliding doors and windows, our complete glazing packages have been supplied and installed on a range of projects.

The experienced team, made up of technical product experts and sales staff, are on hand to support self-builders throughout their project – from initial advice and ideas, through the specification of products to final installation.

This approach has proved hugely popular with our customers, giving them a dedicated point of contact and the knowledge that they are dealing with someone experienced with the challenges of a self-build project – whether it be a city-centre garden plot, a large Grand Designs style home or a rural barn conversion.

As well as being hugely knowledgeable about our award-winning range of products, the self-build project advisors have also worked closely with customers undertaking similar projects, and as such are on hand to offer advice with regards to which products to specify for which particular circumstances, as well as making available technical documentation and detail required by architects, builders and project managers throughout the project, from initial pre-planning applications all the way to the final installation of the glazing systems.

Speaking of the success, IDSystems Sales Manager Edward Stobart, said “We understand that self-builders have specific sets of requirements, and being able to offer advice, support and our experience has been hugely valued by our customers. There are more resources available than ever before for a customer commencing a self-build project, but being able to offer advice that is specific to a particular build, location and circumstances is the key.
