SF60 & SF80

High performance aluminium sliding doors

The new SF60 and SF80 sliding doors set a new benchmark for high-performance aluminum sliding door systems, combining impressive panel sizes, superior thermal efficiency, and cutting-edge design.

Large panel sizes achievable

The SF60 and SF80 are giants in sliding door technology, offering individual panels that span up to 6 meters wide, 4 meters tall, and weigh up to 800 kg.

With the potential to configure entire door systems up to 32 meters wide, these models redefine possibilities for expansive, open views. The combination of these impressive panel sizes with sleek 30mm sightlines allows for almost uninterrupted views, whilst maximising the amount of natural light let in.

Industry leading thermal efficiency

With increasingly stringent Building Regulations for thermal efficiency and the introduction of Future Homes Standard to come, the SF60 and SF80 sliding doors offer ideal solutions.

The double-glazed SF60 achieves U-values as low as 1.1 W/m²K, while the triple-glazed SF80 reaches an impressive 0.8 W/m²K - meeting the demanding standards of new-build Passivhaus eco-home. Unlike many alternatives, these U-value figures apply to the entire system - not just the visible frame elements.

Non-bonded sliding door system

Bonded sliding doors, where the glass is glued to the frame of the system, have become increasingly more common as other manufacturers struggle to make their slender frame systems rigid enough to provide protection from the elements.

The risk with bonded systems is that should you ever need to replace the glass you'll need to replace the entire panel - frame and all. For this reason the SF60 and SF80 are dry-glazed and not bonded - meaning the glass is held in place by glazing beads not bonded to the frame - ensuring you have complete peace of mind for years to come.

Minimal appearance

The SF60 and SF80 can be manufactured with a unique flush stacking panels. This innovative design allows each panel to slide seamlessly behind the next, creating a sleek, contemporary look when the doors are open and maximising your view out.

When closed the doors combine slender 30mm visible sightlines with frames that align flush with the glass, eliminating the need for bulky reinforcing profiles commonly seen in many slim sliding door systems - ensuring that your view remains unobstructed from every angle.

Industry leading weather performance

The SF60 & SF80 provide industry leading protection from wind and rain, ideal for those in exposed or rural locations. The doors are independently tested in laboratory conditions for water tightness, air permeability and wind load, with the results measured in Pascal ratings.

The doors can achieve 900Pa (Class 9a) for water tightness, 600Pa (Class 4) for air permeability and 2000Pa (Class C3/B5) for wind load, meaning the systems can stand up to even the harshest of British weather conditions all year around. For more information about weather performance testing read our blog.

Advanced security

Tested to meet the rigorous RC2 security standards - the European equivalent to the British PAS 24 testing - the SF60 and SF80 sliding doors provide exceptional security and peace of mind.

Both models are equipped with multi-point mushroom head locks and feature 6-pin anti-bump, anti-snap, and anti-drill key cylinders, ensuring comprehensive protection.

Colour your life

DB703 RAL 7016 and RAL 9005 colour swatches

Alternatively the systems can be polyester powder coated to any stocked RAL colour (over 200 RAL colours) and even dual colour or textured finish. In addition, you can specify whether a matt, semi-gloss or full-gloss level of paint finish is required.

A fan of RAL K7 Classic color swatches with various hues, elegantly marked with IDSystems branding on the cover, serves as a perfect companion for those selecting shades for bifold doors.

Exclusive handle design

The new CUBIC handle has been custom designed exclusively for the SF60 & SF80 sliding doors.

CUBIC features a contemporary appearance with square sections, the rotating top section ensures the door always has the same neat look whether open or closed. The minimalist design ensures the handle sits neatly within the width of the frame, ensuring your attention is drawn to the view beyond the doors rather than the hardware!

    Glazing options

When required, we fit toughened glass to comply with Building Regulations Document N. As an alternate method of compliance we are able to fit laminated glass. Both options have their pros and cons.

    Toughened glass
Toughened glass has been heat tempered to increasing its strength over the ordinary annealed glass by up to five times. Other than the strength the advantage of toughened glass is that should it break it would shatter into non-sharp pieces. It is also available with the widest variety of coatings and can be supplied in larger sheets than equivalent thickness laminated glass.

When the glass is toughened it can suffer from some visual distortion making, meaning the face of the glass is not perfectly flat distorting some reflections.

    Laminated glass
Laminated glass is manufactured by bonding two panes of annealed glass with a clear plastic interlayer. The benefit of laminated glass is that if it’s broken the glass will crack rather than shattering, improving security. In addition, laminated glass reduces bleaching of carpets, curtains and furniture by filtering UV rays that would usually penetrate the glass.

The drawback of laminated glass is that extreme heat or cold can cause invisible defects in the glass to form a crack due to the two panes expanding and contracting independently. As the laminated glass is not toughened is does not suffer from the visual distortion that can occur to toughened glass during the toughening process.

The IDSystems staff were so helpful (and patient) all the way through the ordering process and the fitters were excellent. They phoned to let me know they were running late because of heavy traffic and then worked late into the evening to finish the job, oh and the doors look great as well. Thanks!

    TC, Berkshire

A special thanks to your installers, whose diligence and attention to detail far surpassed our expectations... We look forward to using our doors in the summer months ahead!

    BC, Suffolk

The guys who fitted the conservatory were marvellous and completed the job to my complete satisfaction, a credit to your company.

    LB, Cambridgeshire

We were very impressed by the design, fit and overall appearance of the door system. Please pass on our thanks to both teams of fitters and especially the surveyor who came to measure the arch originally for his time and accuracy - despite awful weather conditions.

    RW, Yorkshire

    Absolutely gobsmackingly fantastic.

    Architect, Hertfordshire

We are delighted with our new doors. From our visit to your display centre all the way through the delivery and installation your team have been exemplary in customer service.

    DM, Surrey

We have to say that the whole process of dealing with IDSystems and the various members of the staff involved has been a pleasant experience. All too often, it is, unfortunately, the case that contractors fail to live up to their promise - but you excelled yourself.

    MP, Essex

The doors are fantastic and the team who fitted them were polite, helpful and good at their job, thanks very much for such an efficient service.

    JS, Surrey

Thank you to everyone at IDSystems including the great team of installers. We have been very pleased with the company, products and the staff from start to finish.
