Sunlight streams through heritage aluminium doors onto a herringbone wood floor, illuminating a potted plant and casting shadows on the wall in a modern, bright interior space.

Our heritage doors combine the much sought-after look of traditional steel doors with modern performance standards and effortless usability, meeting requirements of current UK Building Regulations. Whether you are replacing an existing set of steel doors or seeking to add character to a new construction then there is an option for you.

A modern take on traditional doors

The neo-industrial style is deeply rooted in tradition, with slim-framed doors originating in the 1880s and gaining popularity during the Art Deco era of the late 1920s and early 1930s. The style has reemerged as a trend on the back of renovations to period properties, particularly conversions of traditional buildings and warehouse-to-loft renovations in urban areas, into residential homes.

More frame and less glass

One of the contradictions of the modern trend is the fact that heritage style doors feature more frame and less glass than the equivalent aluminium framed door or window. Historically the size of available glass was the limiting factor and required more structural elements of frame. Now the frame exists purely for decorative purposes and it is this look that has become so highly sought-after.
