IDSystems range of aluminium heritage doors offers the perfect solution for replacing traditional steel doors with a highly engineered, thermally broken aluminium alternative - whilst keeping slim frames and a sleek profile.

The neo-industrial appearance owes a lot to tradition, with the original style dating back to the 1880s before becoming hugely popular during the art deco era of the late 1920s and early 1930s.

Traditional Features Icon

Traditional design

Our heritage doors provide an aluminium alternative to traditional narrow-framed steel doors. Their elegance and style are ideal for any period home.

Thermal Quality Icon

Thermally broken

Unlike traditional steel windows and doors where the profile is a single piece of metal and therefore allows for cold bridging between the exterior and interior surfaces of the door, the frames of our Heritage Doors are manufactured from thermally broken aluminium with a polyamide thermal break between the inside and outside of the frame. As a result the system is able to provide vastly superior thermal performance, with low U-values from just 1.5W/m²K.

Weather Icon

Weather protection

Our Heritage Doors are independently tested to Class 4 (600Pa) air permeability and Class 9a (600Pa) water tightness to ensure superior protection from wind and rain compared to traditional manufacturing methods.

Feature icon

Versatility

Predominantly utilised as French doors with a set of sidelights, the system can be designed and configured to meet your exact requirements. They can be installed as a single door or double doors, used internally or externally and can even be utilised as an internal room divider.

Thin Sightlines Icon

Slim sight lines

The design of our Heritage Doors is all about the aesthetic appeal and the narrow 59mm frames give the doors slim sight lines for the much sought-after look. Each panel can be up to 900mm wide and 2100mm high.

Colour your life

Available in single or dual colour

Choose from Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016) matt, Slate Grey (RAL 7015) matt or Graphite Black (RAL 9011) matt as standard or from more than 200 RAL classic or textured finish including Jet Black (RAL 9005) for the more traditional steel door appearance or DB703 textured for a really contemporary take on a classic.
